Zoom's AI meeting features — meeting summaries, smart recording, meeting questions — in meetings held from a room
Zoom: "Admins can enable or disable AI features like meeting summaries, smart recording, and question-asking capabilities at the account, location, or individual room level." For an ad-hoc meeting, a user claims it by QR code or email; Zoom: "Once claimed, the meeting automatically inherits the user's personal AI Companion settings."
Record with AI Companion
records in-person conversations in the room and produces AI meeting summaries for the user who claims them
Zoom: "Users can use AI Companion to capture in-person conversations." Users start it from the room's home screen and pair their own Zoom app by QR code. Zoom: "Once claimed, the user will receive all the meeting assets from the meeting card or email, such as recordings, meeting summaries, and whiteboards."
Intelligent Director
AI picks the best camera angle of each person in the room from several cameras
Zoom: "Intelligent Director uses Zoom’s AI software to select the best view of in-room participants from multiple camera sources, increasing the potential clarity and resolution of the video streams displayed in the meeting." Zoom: "Once configured, Intelligent Director analyzes data from multiple cameras to select and display the best camera angle of participants located in the Zoom Room."
Automatic smart name tags
recognises enrolled people in the room by their face and shows their names on the video
Zoom: "If enabled, Zoom will analyze enrolled users’ reference photos and the Zoom Rooms video to identify enrolled users in a Zoom Room during a meeting." Zoom: "Each user must also separately enroll and consent through their Zoom account to use Automatic smart name tags."
Automatic smart name tags for voice
recognises enrolled people in the room by their voice and names them in captions, transcripts and summaries
Zoom: "If enabled, Zoom will analyze enrolled users’ reference audio data and the Zoom Rooms audio to identify enrolled users in a Zoom Room during a meeting." Zoom: "The resulting name tag can be used to provide attribution in meeting-related features like captions, transcripts, and meeting summaries."
