AP Automation
reads emailed or uploaded supplier invoices and creates draft purchase invoices, predicting the supplier, coding, tax and purchase-order match
When a supplier invoice is emailed to a Sage-provided address or uploaded, AI identifies the supplier, extracts details such as dates, line items and amounts, predicts the GL account, location and department coding (and tax details where the Taxes application is used), flags likely duplicates and lines that do not match, and saves a draft for a person to review and post. With Purchasing, it also matches the invoice to an existing purchasing transaction such as a purchase order. Sage says the model learns from the company's own corrections and from invoices processed across the Sage Network for many companies, with customer data stored in the United States and processed in the UK and EU. Sage enables it on request; it is available on some plans.

Anomaly detection for AP Automation
flags automated supplier invoices that look unusual or risky before they are posted or paid
Sage Intacct compares each automated supplier invoice with past transaction and sender patterns and flags unusual amounts, supplier email addresses it does not recognise, or several anomalies on one transaction. The flags show in an Anomaly column on the Automated transactions list, which has to be added to a custom view because it is not in the default view. Flags are for information only and do not stop a transaction from being posted, and Sage says it may keep flagging transactions until it has enough history.

GL Outlier Detection
machine learning that flags journal entries sent for approval that do not fit the company's past patterns, with an optional Outlier Assistant that sends them back to the submitter
For journals that use approvals, a model trained on the company's own posted journal entries checks each entry sent for approval and marks lines that break past patterns, such as an unusual department and location pairing, a new kind of entry or an irregular amount; hovering shows the reason. The approver still decides to approve, correct or decline, and the model keeps learning from approvers' responses. If the Outlier Assistant is switched on for a journal, flagged entries go back to the person who submitted them before they reach the approver, and Sage says entries without flags are routed or posted as normal.

Finance Intelligence Agent
Early Adopter Sage Copilot agent that answers plain-language questions about the company's financial data with summaries, tables and charts
In the Sage Copilot panel, a user types a question such as which suppliers have overdue invoices, and the agent looks through Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Order Entry and Purchasing data and replies with a summary and, where useful, a table, chart and a step-by-step account of how it reached the answer. It shows only data the user is already permitted to see and does not export files or update transactions itself, and Sage tells users to check totals and calculations before acting on them. Sage says query data is mainly used to improve Copilot and is kept for a limited time. It is in an Early Adopter phased rollout, in US English only, and an administrator must turn it on.

Copilot Variance Analysis
Sage Copilot compares actuals with the budget and the prior period, alerts budget owners and writes explanations and notification emails on request
Copilot compares year-to-date actuals for revenue, cost of revenue, operating expenses and net operating income with one chosen budget and with the prior period, and shows the result as an insight card with a chart; budget managers see only their own departments, locations or entities. Insights are prepared overnight on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule and sent as in-product alerts and optional emails, or run on demand from a suggested prompt. On request Copilot writes a description of what drove the variance, and Draft with Copilot writes the notification email templates in a chosen tone and length for the user to edit. It is part of Sage Intacct Close Automation, on some plans.

Close Assistant
Sage Copilot panel that tracks the month-end close, prepares subledger reconciliations and alerts task owners to late or at-risk close tasks
For a chosen period, Close Assistant shows in the Copilot panel which ledgers are closed and which still have unposted invoices, journal entries or bank reconciliations, with links to each task. On request its Subledger Reconciliation Assistant compares the payables or receivables ledger with the General Ledger, reports any variance by entity with common causes, and saves a reconciliation report. With Close Workspace, Copilot alerts the people assigned to close tasks when a task is near its deadline, at risk or overdue. Sage lists these as AI-powered tools within Sage Intacct Close Automation, on some plans.

Sage Intelligent Time
AI time assistant that gathers activity from employees' email, calendars and desktop apps and suggests timesheet entries
Once switched on, employees can connect their email and calendar and install the Time Assistant desktop app, which records which applications and window titles are active and when, without keystrokes, screenshots or location. From this activity it builds activity cards that suggest time entries with the customer, project or task, and the employee reviews every entry before submitting the timesheet. Sage says each user controls their own captured data, can choose sources and working hours and can turn the Time Assistant off, while administrators set data retention for the company.
