AI-assisted signing
AI summary, key details and Q&A about an agreement for the people signing it
When someone opens a document to sign, DocuSign can show them an AI summary of the most important points, the key details pulled out of the agreement, and a box to ask questions about the document, with answers that cite where in the document they come from. It reaches signers outside the sender’s organisation, and the sending account decides whether it appears.
Iris AI Assistant and Agent Studio
chat assistant on selected agreements, plus ready-made and custom-built AI agents for intake, renewals and review
A chat assistant in Agreement Manager, Agreement Desk and the AI-Assisted Review add-in for Word that answers questions about the agreements a user selects, summarises them, finds clauses across them and points out risks, with citations back to the agreements; it works only on the selected agreements, not the web. Ready-made agents take on recurring work such as summaries, risk checks and renewal briefs. It is switched on automatically unless the organisation opted out, and DocuSign describes the general release as being for US accounts and English-language agreements.
AI-Assisted Review
Microsoft Word add-in where AI writes, replaces, explains and marks up contract wording
A Microsoft Word add-in that uses AI to write, replace, explain and add contract wording and to suggest clause corrections and mark-up. An organisation can set up playbooks of pre-approved rules, and the add-in checks drafts against them and proposes changes. It is also available to DocuSign CLM customers.

Agreement Manager
Iris reads signed agreements to pull out key data, detect clauses and surface payment obligations
A repository for signed agreements in which DocuSign Iris processes each agreement: it pulls out key attributes and values, detects common legal clauses, surfaces payment-related obligations, highlights key information in agreement previews and suggests new agreement types when it finds groups of similar documents. Agreements can be reprocessed when DocuSign releases new or updated AI models, and customer-defined rules can act automatically on what Iris extracts.

AI Extension for CLM
AI summary of each agreement and extraction of key attributes such as effective date and document type
When an agreement is uploaded to DocuSign CLM, Iris analyses it: generative AI writes a summary of its key parts for reviewers, and AI extracts attributes such as the effective date and document type, which feed search, contract processes and reporting.
AI Sender Message
generative AI drafts the email message to recipients from the document (limited beta)
When a sender prepares an envelope, Draft with AI writes a first draft of the message to recipients from the document’s content; the sender can regenerate, edit or delete it. DocuSign describes it as a limited beta for a limited number of US customers on the mobile app and plans bought online, built on Azure OpenAI Service.

IDV liveness
Identify — AI and live video check that a signer matches their ID document
Before a recipient can open an envelope, AI and facial biometrics check their identity document and a selfie video in which they turn their head, to confirm that the ID is genuine, that the face matches the ID photo and that the person is really in front of the camera; a trained agent at DocuSign’s identity partner reviews doubtful cases. Results can be kept in an Identity Wallet for later checks. The account administrator decides which liveness options senders can use and senders choose it for each recipient; a standard ID check without the selfie video is also available.
Agreement Template Builder
AI suggests a template’s agreement type, which decides the fields offered
When a Word (DOCX) document is uploaded to build a template, AI checks it and suggests its agreement type, which decides which standard and custom fields the template builder offers. The person building the template confirms the suggestion or picks another type. An administrator has to turn on AI-Assisted Field Suggestions for the template builder in Sending Settings, and only English documents are checked.
Worksheets
for Agreement Manager — AI fills in custom columns across a whole set of signed agreements
Turns a filtered set of signed agreements into a table where each row is an agreement and AI-generated columns, written from the user’s own prompts, are filled in by Iris for every agreement — each value with its reasoning, a confidence level and a citation to the source. Iris can also design the worksheet from a business question. DocuSign says it is for US accounts and English-language agreements, and that an administrator may need to enable it.

Agreement Desk AI Agents
AI agents that pick the request type, fill in request forms and summarise requests in Agreement Desk
In Agreement Desk, DocuSign’s tool for taking in and handling agreement requests, AI agents help users choose the request type, fill in the request form and summarise the request. They are off by default and only an administrator can turn them on, from the Agreements tab under Settings and Admin.
Smart Recommendations
suggests reminder timing, send times, mobile delivery and an AI-drafted message from past signing patterns
While a sender prepares an envelope, Smart Recommendations studies past completion patterns and how signers behaved, and suggests changes to get it signed: reminders sent at the best moment, a send time matched to repeat signers’ habits, mobile-friendly delivery, and a message drafted with Draft with AI. The sender chooses which suggestions to apply. An administrator has to turn it on in Sending Settings.
