Six steps for every tool

  1. 1
    Find

The vendor’s own menu is the checklist: every product it lists is checked for AI, and its help centre is searched for AI features, including ones filed under other names.

  2. 2
    Read

Each feature is read on the vendor’s own page that documents it. That page is the link you see next to the feature, except where not permitted.

  3. 3
    Decide

A feature is listed when the vendor’s AI does the work. Connections to other apps are left out, and so is what the AI produces.

  4. 4
    Find the switch

The page that documents the switch is opened and read, to confirm it controls that feature. Where the vendor documents no switch, the entry says so.

  5. 5
    Check before publishing

A person checks every description against the page it came from before it goes live, and the live page is checked again afterwards.

  6. 6
    Re-check

The library is re-checked regularly. A changed feature is updated; a feature the vendor stops listing comes off the page.

Blogs, forums, press releases, search-engine summaries and AI-written summaries are never used as sources.

  • Risk levels and legal judgements
  • Opinions and reviews
  • Pages only signed-in customers can see

Checked by people, kept up to date. Every feature on this page was checked by a person against the vendor’s own pages, and the catalogue is re-checked and updated regularly. Mistakes can still happen and vendors change their products without notice, so always check the linked page before relying on it. These are facts about the software. They are not legal advice and do not say what the law requires of you.
