Memory
learns from past conversations and connected email, calendar and documents to personalise answers
Google: “As you use Gemini Enterprise, it builds a personal Memory by understanding your individual needs and work patterns, leading to more relevant and context-aware assistance.” Google: “When you connect your work applications, such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft OneDrive, Gemini Enterprise can extract insights from your email, calendar, and documents to provide deep contextual assistance.” It is on from the start: “By default, Memory is turned on to provide a helpful experience from the start.”
Canvas
writes documents and slide decks from a chat, and rewrites them on request
Google: “Canvas is a dedicated, interactive tool within Gemini Enterprise that helps you create AI-generated documents and slide presentations from your conversations.” It draws on the chat and connected data: “Your chat conversation history, content from enabled connectors, and explicitly added sources are used as input.” A user can ask it to rewrite any part, or change the length and tone of the whole document.
Image generation
creates and edits pictures, mock-ups and charts from a description
Google: “If your admin has enabled image generation, you can use the assistant to generate custom visuals like artwork, UI mockups, and charts from a text prompt.” Users can upload their own images or send follow-up prompts to change the result.
Video generation
creates short videos from a description
Google: “If your admin has enabled video generation, you can use the assistant to create a short video based on your description.” Users refine the result with follow-up prompts.
Chat agents
staff build their own conversational AI agents, which can also run on a schedule
Google: “A chat agent is a type of agent that you can build using Workflow Builder in your Gemini Enterprise web app.” Google: “These agents are designed to interact with users in a conversational manner to complete a specific task.” A chat agent can be given one or more schedules and then runs on its own.
Workflows
staff build AI agents that run a sequence of steps when triggered, and can update data in connected apps
Google: “Workflows are agents that you can build using Workflow Builder in your Gemini Enterprise web app.” Google: “These agents are designed to execute a sequence of steps or actions, which can include a mix of AI automation and human intervention, based on a configured trigger.” A workflow can start on a schedule or when data changes in a connected app such as Gmail or Jira, with no one asking. Changes it makes in those apps need a person’s approval: “Adding or updating data through connectors requires human review.”
Deep Research
Google’s agent that researches a question across your organisation’s data and the web and writes a report
Google: “Deep Research is a Made by Google agent for users who need to gather, analyze, and understand internal and external information.” It works from the data the app indexes, and from the web if web search is enabled for the app. It shows a research plan the user can edit, starts only when they click Start Research, and writes a report with citations and an audio summary. Google says administrators of the Business edition cannot switch it off.

Gemini Notebook Enterprise
answers questions about, and writes from, the sources a user puts into a notebook
Google: “Gemini Notebook is an AI-powered research and writing tool that helps you summarize and extract information across dense and complex sources.” Users add PDFs, documents, slides and web pages to a notebook, and “The AI grounds its responses in these documents.” It also makes audio and video overviews, mind maps, reports, slide decks and infographics from those sources.

coding agents — Google Antigravity, its IDE extensions and Android Studio — that write, review and fix code
Google: “Gemini Enterprise provides AI-powered developer tools designed to accelerate software development and delivery through autonomous agents.” They are Google Antigravity, Antigravity for IDEs and Android Studio. Google: “Developers can delegate multi-step software engineering tasks—such as implementing new features, refactoring legacy modules, migrating APIs, and generating comprehensive test suites—directly to autonomous AI agents.”
