Hiring Assistant

AI agent that sets up hiring projects, finds candidates, messages and prescreens them, and evaluates applicants

An AI agent inside Recruiter that drafts the role and its qualifications, searches for candidates, writes and sends outreach and follow-ups on the recruiter’s behalf when instant outreach is on, prescreens candidates who reply, and evaluates and ranks applicants. It learns from what the recruiter does and re-evaluates candidates when qualifications change. It is switched on automatically for new projects and manually posted jobs; admins decide who can use it by assigning the Hiring Assistant permission, and a project owner can turn it off for a project.

AI Search and Projects

turns a plain-language request into a candidate search and sets up hiring projects; Advanced AI Search adds fit summaries and High/Medium/Low relevance

Turns a request in plain words, or a named ideal candidate, into a structured candidate search, and sets up and adjusts hiring projects from a chat. Advanced AI Search also takes a pasted job description or job link, matches skills that are not written on profiles, and shows on each candidate’s card a summary of why they fit and a High, Medium or Low relevance level based on how many qualifications they match. LinkedIn says users cannot opt out of its AI features, but can search by keyword or Boolean instead and can stop AI Search being the default.

AI Messages

drafts personalised InMail messages and follow-ups to candidates, one at a time or up to 25 at once

Drafts personalised InMail messages and follow-ups to candidates from the recruiter’s details, the job and the candidate’s LinkedIn profile — for example their Open to Work status, past applications and mutual connections — up to 25 individually tailored drafts at once. Automatic drafting is on by default, and candidates are not told when a message was drafted with AI. LinkedIn says AI Messages cannot be switched off entirely: only the automatic draft can be turned off, and recruiters can still ask for an AI draft in any message.

AI-Assisted Applicant Management

filters a job’s applicants to those matching criteria typed in plain words

Narrows a job’s list of applicants to those who match the hiring criteria a recruiter types in plain words — job titles, years of experience, skills, companies — and suggests ways to widen or refine the shortlist.

AI-Assisted Job Posts

drafts job posts from an existing draft or post, and reformats job descriptions

Generates a new job post from an existing job draft or post, and reformats a job description — headings, bullet points, spacing — without changing its meaning; it refuses to reformat text containing inappropriate language. The recruiter reviews before posting.

AI-Assisted Applicant Targeting

for Job Slots — AI reads the job description and sets who the job ad is targeted at

For jobs posted through Job Slots, LinkedIn’s large language models read the job description, pick out the must-have qualifications — skills, function, experience — and turn them into the criteria that decide which candidates the job is promoted to. It replaces choosing skills by hand; the criteria can be reviewed and edited before and after posting.
