Sage Copilot
generative AI assistant that drafts customer emails and does set-up tasks when asked
When a user sends quotes, estimates, invoices, credit notes, statements or payment reminders, one at a time or in bulk, Draft with Copilot writes the email; the user can ask for another length or tone, edit it and decides whether to send it, and the same button drafts the message for automatic payment reminders. When asked, Copilot also turns an uploaded spreadsheet into a customer or supplier import file for the user to check, fills in missing income tax categories on ledger accounts in the background (marked as categorised by Copilot), and reads an uploaded invoice to set up the business details, logo and layout of invoice templates. Users can also chat with it from the Help panel; Sage says it uses generative AI.

Copilot Insights
Sage Copilot checks the books on its own and flags insights, unusual ledger accounts, possible duplicates and VAT limits
Without being asked, Copilot looks through the accounts and shows insights about invoices, quotes, estimates, credit notes and customers, each with a button to the screen where the user can act. It flags transactions posted to a ledger account it finds unusual and suggests another one, checks every night for possible duplicate transactions by amount, description and date, and warns when the business nears the VAT registration, cash accounting or flat rate limits or a VAT deadline. Nothing changes until the user picks an action for each item, such as applying the suggested ledger, keeping, deleting, reviewing later or dismissing it.

AI Capture
reads uploaded bills and receipts and creates draft purchase invoices
AI Capture reads purchase invoices and receipts that are uploaded, forwarded by email or photographed in the mobile app, picks out details such as the supplier, description and amount, and creates draft purchase invoices from them. Each draft waits in Drafts to approve until a user reviews and approves it, and it can be assigned to another user to review. Sage says its accuracy improves as the feature is used. It is available on some plans, to users with access to Purchases.
